Week Ending 22nd Mar

Events for the week ending 22nd March 2009.

Monday 16th Mar:
Work, work and more work, but at least it is more interesting that my previous assignment at the same place. Doing some reconciliation work.

Tuesday 17th Mar:
Work

Wednesday 18th Mar:
Work, followed by more work.

Thursday 19th Mar:
Work, but was told today in a team meeting that things were changing slightly. Moving down to a different floor with my new line manager.

Friday 20th Mar:
Work, but my manager is away for the day so a bit of play aswell. Booked my flight to Dublin for the easter break.

Saturday 21st Mar:
Hostelling it to upload photos and download programs. Followed by a few drinks at the local.

Sunday 22nd Mar:
Ended up doing nothing, which was quite nice for a change. Then cooked a roast for dinner - mmm left over roast for lunch during the week!!

Week Ending 15th Mar

Monday 9th Mar:
Started on a new role at my assignment today. Doing reconciliation work now, so at least partial accounting work.

Tuesday 10th Mar:

Friday 13th Mar:
Yeah the second of three Friday the 13th of the year. Had a half day at work and then caught the train down to Bristol for a meeting with the recruitment agency down there. Train was late - not that unusual for England, it was about 1/2 hr late getting me to Bristol, so I ended up being late for my meeting, but had called ahead to let them know.
From Bristol I caught the train to Bath for the night and chatted to a bloke from Calgary who was staying in my room.

Saturday 14th Mar:
Wandered around Bath sightseeing the place, visited the old Roman Bath's and Abbey. Watched the Wales vs Italy 6 nations rugby match. After which I caught the train back to Bristol for dinner and watched the Scotland vs Ireland match. After which I caught the bus back to Birmingham.

Sunday 15th Mar:
Slept in which was nice, ended up gtting up at about 11am, and then headed out for a haircut and then shopping for the week.

Monday 2nd March:
Work

Tuesday 3rd March:

Wednesday 4th March:
Work and call from the agency in Belfast, didn't get the job in Belfast but there are still possibilities potenially available.

Thursday 5th March:

Friday 6th March:
Work

Saturday 7th March:
Shopping, and uploading photo's and downloading programs at the hostel, then a nice quiet night at home.

Sunday 8th March:
Church then a bit more shopping and then another lazy afternoon at home.

Week Ending 1st March

Monday 23rd Feb:
Work and a few calls from agencies not in Birmingham about my job applications.

Tuesday 24th Feb:
Work and more calls from agents about jobs I had applied for.

Wednesday 25th Feb:
Work and a call from an agent down in Bristol to arrange a time to meet up with her about potential jobs in Bristol and meeting up with her to have a chat.

Thursday 26th Feb:
More work and a couple more calls from agents.

Friday 27th Feb:
Work, and then a call from an agent in Belfast about a job I had applied for over there. Had a great chat with her about the job and getting my CV forwarded to the client in the hope of getting a phone interview with the client.
Followed by a few drinks at the local with Jay and the local inhabitants of this area.

Saturday 28th Feb:
Food shopping followed by the rest of the day spent at the hostel uploading photos (of which I got about 140 odd done) and downloading tv programs. Ended up chatting to an American girl who had just finished a stint working on a cruise ship.

Sunday 1st Mar:
Jay and IU left the house to go and see Che part 2, unfortunately it doesn't play on a Sunday at 11:45am only 5:15pm. So we left the cinema and went to Wetherspoons for lunch instead.
Followed by the rest of the afternoon and day spent at home.
