Birmingham, Derry, Liverpool and Blackpool then Christmas
Well, I know it's been a while since I last posted anything and I guess you could say I've been busy and without decent internet too long.
Since I last posted I have of course been travelling more. At the end of Feb I went with my housemate Jay to London Derry in Northern Ireland which was brilliant although a little frustrating as there are no bus services to or from the airport on Saturday or Sundays. Either way though we really enjoyed ourselves and it was good to get away from Birmingham for the weekend.
After which I finally scored a job at the beginning of December which was great as I was finally able to buy myself a new warmer jacket to wear. This also meant I could do my next trip on the second weekend of December of going to Liverpool for the day. As it turned out the weekend I was to be there was the weekend of a big football (soccer) match. As such I couldn't find anywhere cheap to stay Saturday night and so ended up in Blackpool for the evening and part of Sunday.
Blackpool isn't much and is probably better during the summer when there are more people and the amusement park is open.
Anyway I had a great weekend away and really enjoyed my self with some great scenery and meeting some nice people aswell.
Today however is Christmas, my housemate left on Monday night for Europe for 2 weeks and so I get the house to myself for a period which is nice. Christmas is being spent around at the Birmingham Backpackers Hostel where I was invited for Christmas dinner etc. Great day to be had unfortunately not a white day but a cold day none the less.
Oh well a long weekend ahead followed by NYE and another long weekend...I think I'll just go to my local and spend it there as they have a sign that they are having a party there.
